BNT Vaccine Donation

Supporting Taiwan Through the COVID-19 Pandemic

In 2021, during Taiwan's COVID-19 outbreak, YongLin Foundation founder Terry Gou partnered with Foxconn Technology Group to secure 5 million doses of the BNT vaccine. Their efforts ensured access to safe and effective vaccines for people of all ages. By June 2022, Taiwan's first-dose vaccination rate reached 90%, significantly boosting herd immunity and helping control the pandemic.

Helping Taiwan Fight COVID-19

During the pandemic, YongLin Foundation teamed up with Sharp Corporation to donate masks and essential supplies to the New Taipei City Health Bureau and major hospitals in Taipei. Through the YongLin School of Hope, they also provided preventive supplies to social welfare organizations, healthcare workers, and response teams across Taiwan, donating over 10,000 units to support those on the front lines.

Impact

YongLin Foundation and Hon Hai Technology Group jointly donated 5 million doses of BNT vaccines for COVID-19 prevention, with a value exceeding USD 175 million.
