Areas of focus

National Taiwan University YongLin Institute of Health (NTU-YIH)

Established in 2017, NTU-YIH is a cornerstone of Terry Gou’s “New Century Medical Initiative.” This institute was designed to break silos and spark cross-disciplinary breakthroughs in biomedical science. Under the leadership of former NTU President Pan-Chyr Yang, it serves as a national engine for innovation—advancing R&D, promoting resource-sharing, and building Taiwan’s next-generation biomedical technology cluster.

YongLin Biomedical Engineering Hall

A launchpad for future medicine, this facility supports education, industry, and clinical research across eight strategic sectors: from smart hospitals and medical electronics to biomarkers and cell therapy. Equipped with an optical fiber neural network and a big data center, it is where global research ambition meets state-of-the-art infrastructure—all rooted in Taiwan, all designed to shape the world.

YongLin Scholars Program

World-class minds, homegrown breakthroughs. This program attracts top international researchers while cultivating local talent in cancer medicine and biomedical engineering. Our goal: to position NTUCC as not only Taiwan’s flagship in cancer research, but a global epicenter for discovery, prevention, and treatment.

YongLin Seminar

Since 2014, the YongLin Seminar Series has united the brightest minds in academia, clinical medicine, and industry. These high-impact gatherings spark new ideas, deepen international collaboration, and accelerate progress in some of the most complex challenges in modern cancer research.
