Strategy

By combining resources across disciplines, we aim to attract global talent, drive innovation in medical technology, and build a leading ecosystem for biomedical research.

Areas of focus

National Taiwan University YongLin Institute of Health (NTU-YIH)

The National Taiwan University YongLin Institute of Health (NTU-YIH), established in September 2017, represents a significant milestone in Mr. Terry Gou's New Century Medical Initiative. Its primary mission is to advance research and development in the biomedical and health-related industries, promote the integration of interdisciplinary research resources, strengthen talent exchange and resource sharing within the industry, and foster the development of a biomedical technology cluster. The institute continuously introduces cutting-edge medical technologies and has appointed former National Taiwan University President Pan-Chyr Yang as its director.

YongLin Biomedical Engineering Hall

YongLin Foundation collaborates with NTU to develop educational and industrial partnerships in the field of biomedical engineering, focusing on eight key areas: cell therapy, radiation medicine, smart hospitals, medical electronics, preventive medicine, biomarkers, biomedical talent cultivation, and future medicine. The Biomedical Hall is equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure, including an optical fiber neural network system and a Big Data center. It is dedicated to the research and development of medical equipment and materials technology, advanced treatment devices, a stem cell transplantation center, and a preventive medicine center, among other collaborative efforts. Guided by the vision of "being rooted in Taiwan and looking toward the world," this initiative aspires to set a new milestone in biomedical engineering research.

YongLin Scholars Program

By attracting internationally renowned scholars and nurturing a new generation of exceptional biomedical engineering talent in Taiwan, we aim to conduct long-term, in-depth research in the emerging fields of cancer medicine while fostering local development. This initiative seeks to position NTUCC as a leading global hub for cancer research, prevention, and treatment.

YongLin Seminar

Since 2014, YongLin Foundation has partnered with NTU to invite internationally renowned biomedical engineering experts to form a research and industry team. This collaboration aims to pursue top-tier research spanning academia, technical development, and clinical applications, with the goal of achieving groundbreaking advancements in cancer medicine and related biomedical engineering fields, while also attracting exceptional talent.
