From Potential to Podium

Why We Exist

At YongLin Foundation, we believe that elite athletes don’t just represent a nation—they inspire one. Taiwan’s next generation of world-class competitors deserve more than talent alone. They deserve access, visibility, and the chance to compete on a level playing field. That’s why we support athletes not just with words, but with action—so their dreams of the international stage are no longer distant, but within reach.

Strategy

How We Lead

Through the YongLin Dream Project, we invest in both emerging and elite athletes—providing resources, training, and international exposure that make global competition not just a dream, but a destination. Our mission goes beyond medals; we aim to build a stronger, more connected sports culture in Taiwan, anchored in three key strategies:

• Investing Early
We support young talent before the spotlight—nurturing potential through seed programs and grassroots development.

• Removing Barriers
We provide financial assistance for travel, training, and competition—so athletes can focus on performance, not survival.

• Connecting Globally
We create opportunities for athletes to train, compete, and exchange ideas with top players worldwide—building confidence, experience, and global presence.

The YongLin Dream Project: Championing Rising Stars

We back Taiwan’s most promising athletes with the resources they need to pursue their dreams without hesitation.

• In 2018–2019, we supported karate athlete Wen Tzu-yun on her road to the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, covering personalized training expenses.

• In 2024, we supported Li Ren-yue, who achieved the world No. 1 ranking in the U11 and U13 categories of table tennis and claimed the WTT U13 world title—all before age 14.

Paris 2024: Supporting National Athletes on the World’s Biggest Stage

Recognizing the international gaps in training resources and exposure, YongLin Foundation proudly backed four young national athletes on their Olympic journey to Paris:

• Wu Shiyi | Women’s Boxing – 60kg Lightweight

• Wu Shaoxuan | Men’s Canoe Slalom – K-1

• Zhang Zhuhan | Women’s Canoe Slalom – K-1

• Chen Jie | Men’s 400m Hurdles

These athletes didn’t just earn a spot—they trained to compete head-to-head with the world’s best.
