Strategy

Standing with Taiwan in Times of Crisis
YongLin Foundation has consistently supported Taiwan during major disasters, providing financial aid and practical assistance to those in need. From the devastating 1999/9/21 Earthquake and Morakot Typhoon to the more recent Tainan and Hualien Earthquakes, the foundation has been a steadfast partner in recovery efforts, helping communities rebuild and heal.

Major Disaster Donation Timeline

  • 1999: Donated more than 6,100,000 USD to assist with the damage from the 921 Earthquake.
  • 2008: Donated more than  38,000 USD to support recovery from Typhoon Sinlaku.
  • 2009: Donated more than  61,000 USD to assist with Typhoon Kalmaegi and Typhoon Phoenix relief efforts.
  • 2009: Donated more than 6,100,000 USD for Typhoon Morakot and the 88 Flood disaster relief.
  • 2014: Donated more than 305,000 USD for the Kaohsiung Gas Explosion relief efforts.
  • 2015: YongLin Foundation donated more than 305,000 USD and Foxconn contributed more than 457,000 USD for the Formosa Fun Coast Dust Explosion victims.
  • 2016: Donated more than 3,050,000 USD to support recovery from the February 6 Southern Taiwan Earthquake.
  • 2016: Donated more than 305,000 USD for Typhoon Nepartak relief.
  • 2018: Donated more than 1,831,000 USD to aid in the February 6 Hualien Earthquake.
  • 2019: Donated more than 305,000 USD for the Nanfang'ao Bridge collapse disaster relief.
  • 2023: Donated more than 1,098,000 USD to assist with the September 22 Pingtung Explosion.
  • 2024: Donatedmore than 1,831,000 USD to aid in the April 3 Hualien Earthquake recovery efforts.

Typhoon Morakot Flood Disaster Reconstruction

Rebuilding Lives After Typhoon Morakot

In 2009, Typhoon Morakot caused catastrophic flooding in southern Taiwan, completely destroying Xiaolin Village in Kaohsiung and leaving hundreds without families or homes. The YongLin Foundation supported the survivors by funding the creation of the YongLin Kaohsiung Forest Organic Agriculture Park, providing jobs and a fresh start for those affected.
